Make a Difference… Make This World a Better Place… Go!

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” —Mark 16:15 KJV

FISSH, which stands for Friends in Selfless Service of Humanity, sums up the transcendent command to GO! As people of God, we obey and follow the commission to spread the everlasting gospel.

Since the group’s inception this guiding principle has bonded this group together to take on the task and its challenges. After more than a year of planning, FISSH conducted their first Surgical and Dental outreach in May of 2024, in the city of General Santos, South Cotabato, Philippines, serving the marginalized and poor folk who were in dire need of health services.

To be able to bring healing and relief to their enfeebled and debilitated physical conditions—and then, feel that glimmer of hope in their eyes, and see that smile on their faces, is inspiring and priceless! Reflecting on this experience and the opportunity I had, rejuvenated in me the resolve and commitment to take on the injunction of the Great Commission that Christ gave us. Sharing His gospel and work, through dedication and passion for selfless service, enabled me to render relief to those in dire need. It has indeed been a tiring, yet heartening and fulfilling experience!

We all are given different gifts and blessings. It is a privilege to be given opportunities in our individual spheres to answer God’s call and share the gospel to all around us.
